This is Alexa, our lovely Turtle; her name is a Greek baby name. The name Alexa is a shortened form of Alexandra, the female form of Alexander.

Alexander comes from the Greek Alexandros, and can be broken down into alexo meaning "to defend" and aner, meaning "man": Defender of men, helper.

Alexander the Great was a 4th century Macedonian king for whom the Egyptian city of Alexandria is named. We selected this name as a symbol of defending, defence and peace. The Turtle was never aggressive. Her back shield is the strongest part of her body and but never used for aggression. Her green colour is the symbol of Green environment, green creature, green home and green attitude. Her rounded eyes represent alert, hard work and decisiveness with a smiley face and reddish feminine lips and long neck; they are all the indicators of beauty. Our dearest Alexa, lexi, lex. is created by the Chairman of Society as a permanent guest, she distributes gifts, and handcrafts to the children in all happy occasions, she is funny and friendly at all times ….
