Message From Chairman
It’s my great pleasure to welcome you on our JSCT website. I am sure that you find the information available on this site enjoyable and informative. A hard work was done to make this website come out.
Wildlife in Jordan needs our support and concern to help in the conservation of the natural environment and habitat areas. Wildlife Conservation including the Turtles is the practice of protecting wild plant and animal species and their habitats and assuring sustainability. The goal of wildlife conservation is to ensure that nature will be around for future generations to enjoy and also to recognize the importance of wildlife and wilderness for humans and other species alike.
JSCT is the first and only society of its kind which spares no efforts in supporting any activity or initiative which leads to wild life conversation in general and preserving the turtles in particular. JSCT considers that Turtles in Jordan are under threat and lack of care and consideration. This is why our Society is very worried because of the mistreatment of these species and would like to contribute to the local and international efforts in protecting these lovely creatures and play a vital role in their preservation.
We are a non-profit making association, our revenue are all paid back to contribute to the turtles preservations and in order to achieve our goals.
Our achievements speak about themselves; our results are obvious and remarkable. We are honored to be a member in The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) which is an international organization who only accepts distinguished associations.
Our doors are open for you, your friends and family members to join and support our activities. Be one of those who contributed to preserve our environment and our biodiversity in general and our turtles in particular.
